Black Tea – strong, full-bodied, and classic

Black tea is one of the most famous tea varieties in the world. It is fully oxidized, giving it its dark color and rich, rounded flavor. Its origins trace back to the 17th century in China’s Wuyi region.

From there, production spread to India – home to strong, malty Assams and floral Darjeelings – and to Sri Lanka, known for its bright and finely spiced Ceylon teas.

Today, black tea is also produced in Japan, where the rare Wakoucha stands out for its delicate, slightly sweet character and smooth depth reminiscent of cocoa. The spectrum of black teas ranges from bold and spicy to gentle and elegant – a true experience for lovers of distinctive teas.
