The perfect preparation
Always bring the water to a boil – this effectively kills germs and dissolves limescale deposits, which can affect the taste of your tea.
For white, green, and yellow teas, let the water cool to 70-80°C before steeping. (Too hot water will burn the tea leaves and make it bitter.)
Infusion times:
Black Tea100 °C | ⏱️ 3-5 Min.
Green, white, and yellow teas 70–80°C | ⏱️ 2-4 min. Be careful with the water temperature: if too high, the tea becomes bitter; Roibos 100°C | ⏱️ 6-8 min. Herbal teas 100°C | ⏱️ 6-8 min. For a full flavor and effect, leave to steep longer; Fruit teas 100°C | ⏱️ 6-8 min.
The longer it is left, the more intense the flavour becomes.
